Guidelines for preparing your presentation & paper

 

First, review the description of the assignment in the syllabus. Once you’ve read the article, come up with answers to these questions:

 

1. What is the main argument of the article?
2. What are the supporting reasons for that main argument?
3. What passages from the text(s) are addressed by the article?
4. How does the article enhance our reading of the text(s)?
5. What are the article’s strengths?
6. What are the article’s weaknesses?
7. How might we use the article’s insights to address other passages from the text(s) or other texts entirely?
8. What two or three discussion questions regarding the primary text(s) can you generate, based on the article?
